Story
70.3 Ironman – In Memory of Jude 💙
Nat & Hay have completed the Ironman 70.3 Swansea in July and now we cant wait to watch Louise complete the Ironman Weymouth on the 20th Sept.
Louise has taken on this challenge to raise money for Latch, in memory of Jude Cantlay to honour his fight, his legacy, and to celebrate his life.
Jude passed away at just four years old, and he showed more strength, bravery, and love than most of us will ever know. Throughout Jude’s journey, Latch supported him and Emily, Ian and Sebastian every step of the way.
From day one, Latch provided accommodation, allowing the Cantlay family to stay close during treatment. They offered family support and financial help, easing pressures no family should have to face alone. When circumstances changed and Emily, Ian and Sebastian and Jude had no choice but to move up North to get Jude more treatment, Latch continued to support them all. Following Jude’s passing, Latch has continued to provide bereavement support for Emily, Ian and Sebastian.
For those that know us, you’ll realise just how big this challenge is. I have always been into fitness, but I:
• don’t own a bike
• sink in the pool
• and have never taken on anything close to a 70.3 Ironman
This will be one of the hardest things we have ever done — physically and mentally. But this challenge is nothing compared to the fight Jude faced, and it feels like a meaningful way to honour his strength and keep his legacy alive.
This isn’t just a fundraiser. It’s about remembering Jude, celebrating his life, and helping ensure other families receive the same incredible support when they need it most.
Every donation will help Latch continue their vital work — keeping families together, supporting them through treatment and beyond, and reminding them they are never alone.
Thank you so much for supporting this challenge, this charity, and Jude’s legacy.

LATCH
LATCH supports children and their families in Wales affected by childhood cancer,
ensuring that no family ever faces the journey alone. We provide bespoke
emotional, practical, and financial support to children undergoing treatment for
Cancer at the Children's Hospital for Wales that is responsive, compassionate,
practical and hopeful. At any one time, we support around 140 families, with an
average of 55 new children referred each year.
